Growing season has similarities with 1998, very warm summer and somewhat shorter fall. Grapes were harvested 10 days to two weeks ahead of typical. Wines show the concentrated fruit of Red Mountain forward in the wines. This will be the second vintage of our wines to mature in the bottle. Update January 2015: The wines from 2000 continue to age very similar to those from 1998, just a couple of years delayed. The 2000 vintage wines continue to exceed our initial expectations for the vintage and are showing amazing complexity and accessibility of the ample fruit at this time. The wines of 2000, similar to those of 1998 should be something to enjoy over the next few years.
